SOJ:

There is a lawsuit working its’ way through the courts related to due process for the State of Jefferson. It appears that they are getting their way on some preliminary motions. This is good news for that long shot effort.

Nothing grassroots is without controversy. It appears there is an offshoot of SOJ, called CCR. They are having their own meetings and are basically bad-mouthing the SOJ side of things. It is too bad there is not unity in the SOJ effort.

BTW – any rumors of Steven Baird and Terry Rapoza being at odds were also dispelled as I was sent photos of them together at the last SOJ meeting.

As of this time, I remain a supporter of State of Jefferson / SOJ movement.

Prop 14:

I received an email from some former Assembly / Senate Leaders urging delegates to the CAGOP to continue supporting Prop 14, because Prop 14 is costing Labor Unions a ton of money in elections. Mind you, the current Assembly Minority Leader is a tyrant that most in the rank-and-file GOP dislike… so invoking leaders may not have been a wise strategy. Secondly, one such leader invoked was George Plescia. Mr. Plescia lives in Arizona and has for several years, meaning he’s never been in CA for a Prop-14 affected election.

Why people think having no GOP candidates on the fall ballot for statewide offices is a good thing is beyond me. Maybe they all supported the Cap and Trade disaster too? I am befuddled by the logic.

World-famous #NEVERTRUMPER Ron Nehring, who will lead the #NEVERTRUMP effort in 2020 in California responded with an email of his own decimating the argument of the first email. Hopefully that means there will be a floor fight at the CAGOP convention, confusion and those who have spent tons of money trying to control the CAGOP have the same feelings they had when a ton of people went rogue on Chad Mayes. People thinking for themselves is a good thing and we need more of it.

Placer GOP:

I was informed that several tea party / conservative aligned members of the cent com and other volunteers from a similar universe suddenly bailed out on their commitments to work at the Gold Country Fair, leaving the organizers scrambling to find help to fill slots. I am not sure how this helps register Republican voters, elects conservatives and the like. What do I know? I am just an attack blogger.

While I take turns taking shots at people who deserve them, I also try to provide balance. In this case, the legislative staffers on the Placer GOP Cent Com did the right thing by helping with the effort at the Gold Country Fair.

There is a lot of residual bad blood, however related to the 2012 and 2016 efforts to spend a ton of money on the outcome of the Placer GOP Cent Com race. As I have written before, said efforts were directed by Senator Jim Nielsen’s Chief of Staff (please note while working as an independent consultant outside of his duties in the State Senate) David Stafford Reade. People like Landon Wolf and others that work for legislators end up bearing the brunt of the ill will from said effort due to their proximity to folks like Reade and others that earn large amounts of consulting fees for their participation in these efforts. It is what it is.

Given that most of those staffers have never met me, yet glare at me from across the room, (think about what Reade and others may have told them about this meanie blogger or others on the opposite side of them) I can’t say that I 100% disagree with the “resistance” on the Placer GOP Cent Com. Legislative staff are rarely activists and are never independent. It is simply impossible.

That said, I expect to be endorsing many of the “resistance” all over the state and attempting to help them simply because the amount of money being spent to control the state party (and subsequently shrink it, to make it easier to control) is dead wrong. After seeing how difficult the drill against Chad Mayes was to run, I’ve drawn the conclusion that there needs to be a house-cleaning of party leadership with a few exceptions.

OC GOP:

There is an event featuring Mike Pence tomorrow in Beverly Hills to raise gobs of money for targeted GOP Congressmembers. I hope it goes well, as I have heard mixed reports about the interest level in it. I’ve also heard that most of the CAGOP Congressional Delegation have convinced themselves that the sky is falling and they are all going to be hunted down. I seriously doubt any seats change hands until the next sham citizens redistricting commission meets and draws the GOP in to oblivion.

Tyler Diep, one of my newly minted favorite tackle dummies, had an event last night in Orange County. A lot of luminaries were there. It was his kick-off as young Tyler is expecting a coronation. I intend to help inform people that Tyler is a disaster, at least that is what I think of him, and when I am done many others will also.

There is a neat aside out of this is the angling and posturing to replace Dana Rohrabacher. It has been put to this blogger that one or more recognizable names in OC were being rather chummy with some of OC’s favorite liberals. Further, some of them appear to be just fine with the concept of Rohrabacher being unseated by a democrat in order to open up the seat. When I have on the record sources, I will name names and their actions publicly in hopes that the OC GOP Establishment continue shedding their fealty to incumbents in favor of doing the right thing.

I think it is safe to assume that those conspiring to help elect a democrat over Rohrabacher were part of the thousands of #NEVERTRUMP nimrods that helped Hitlary win the OC by a significant margin in 2016. They should just get out of the GOP now, and join Chad Mayes in a leper colony.

Speaking of Chad Mayes:

Mr Mayes has raked in a ton of PAC Money. We like to refer to this is his 30 pieces of silver. Be sure to scroll pages in the link so you understand why Mr. Mayes delusions of perfection run so deep.

It is indeed clear that Mayes believes he is bullet-proof for re-election as he can call his PAC Donor Masters and cash in for his behavior.

Mayes has been on a Narcissistic Rage on his way out the door. It has become clear to this blogger that in addition to stripping opponents of their committee assignments and offices, he has also been on a rampage against donors to the California Republican Party. The goal is to punish the disloyal, because he is right and they are all wrong. This is the behavior of a tyrant and a narcissist.

His grotesque arrogance was on display at the CAGOP board meeting this past weekend. Multiple accounts indicate that Mayes was boastfully telling the board that the party would raise no more than $200k a year. It was also clear to those paying attention that he was the cause.

Because the Assembly Repubicans lacked the courage to vacate the chair, they are all left with the consequences as the Narcissist is meeting out revenge on everyone. This sort of failure to lead is what gave these very people who despise President Trump, President Trump.

Speaking of Narcissists and #NEVERTRUMPERS , Kristen Olsen – who like Chad Mayes has never acknowledged anything she has done wrong and like Chad Mayes is incapable of seeing her own faults – has made it clear she is staying on as Vice Chair of the California Republican Party. She ran the meeting on Saturday during a couple periods of Jim Brulte’s absence. She has also appeared at at least one county party event and people in Stanislaus County have told me that she brazenly has gone back to her church seemingly immune to the Church’s desire to see her leave or anything regarding her affair with Mayes and its’ effect on the community there. This is the classic behavior of Narcissism, something people screamed about with Obama for years.

In case you have not had enough drama and bad news, the Democrats are already busy screwing business in the wake of Chad Mayes’ Cap and Trade Deal. (Remember, it is all about him so he can own it every time stuff like this happens.)

According to the Sacramento BS, the democrats chose the labor unions over left-wing poster child company Tesla. This is a repudiation of everything Chad told us about the “deal” done related to Cap and Trade. This bill is designed to force Tesla to unionize, the exact sort of anti-business crap Chad Mayes told us his sell-out would prevent. The Narcissist was wrong, lied or did both.

My summary on facebook of this was as follows:

#1 Tesla gets screwed (see also Elon Musk, a left-wing Trump hater) #2 Chad Mayes looks like an even bigger idiot/narcissist than he already is as this validates the criticisms of us little people against “His Deal” (because, remember, it is all about him). #3 Labor Unions > Environment in the Dem Party – confirming who their daddy is.

These updates will continue as events warrant.

I stumbled across a website dedicated to a loser.

Stop Scott Steiner is a website about a Judge who was censured for having sex with an intern (in his chambers) and having sex with an attorney who had business before the court (also in his chambers).

According to www.stopscottsteiner.com, we finally found what it takes to get the OC GOP off of an incumbent. The equivalent of a legal felony.

As I am deign to point out, OC GOP hero John Moorlach missed the memo about Mike Corona as he continued to defend him even after he was a convicted felon.

I am still sitting here shaking my head. While I am taking shots at some incumbents this cycle, even after 18 years in politics, I am still offended by the rampant hypocricy of it all.

For those of you scoring at home:

Wagner wants to take on Moorlach. Bad. Wagner Money to GOP,  Bad. Moorlach doing nothing for anyone, double dipping pension and gov’t check, Good.

Mimi Walters money to GOP, Good. Greg Raths, Bad.

Scott Baugh takes on Dana Rohrabacher, Good. Dana Rohrabacher, allegedly does nothing for GOP, Bad.

And, now here we are with Scott Steiner. He is the legal equivalent of a convicted sex offender. He withdrew his request for an endorsement, OK. Why the hell isn’t the OCGOP endorsing his opponent?

With this – I am endorsing Karen Schatzle for OC Judge.

The fear over Greg Raths challenge to Mimi Walters is well-founded. The near psychotic response to Don Wagner’s aborted run against John Moorlach was also well-founded. IT appears that the status quo is a political narcotic that is running its’ full course and the Donald Trump election is the full blown cancer it has caused.

Incumbents are going to be hunted, the loss of control for the establishment will be extraordinary.

There is a solution – return to principle and start setting fire to people that misbehave. There is a solution for incumbents, govern with integrity, stay connected to your district and build the GOP. (BTW – I think Walters has done all three of these, she just appears to be too close to the compromising GOP leadership) I may even suggest 12 step meetings for the addictive behavior some exhibit in their fealty to the status quo as well.

P.S. At least I am honest about being paid (sometimes) for my opinions. That kind of honesty across the board may also help.

No incumbent deserves re-election. They have to earn it. Period.

John Moorlach is selfish and does nothing to help anyone but himself. Moorlach is also reputed to be acerbic and aloof to people he deems unimportant and he also holds life-long grudges so the story goes. That was the nexus of Don Wagner’s run against him.

Mimi Walters is a freshman Congresswoman whose inaugural Heritage Score was a “D”. Apparently, this is the nexus for Greg Raths to run against her.

Hold the above thoughts for Dana Rohrabacher’s Press Release:

Statement by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher

I intend to run for re-election in 2018.

I very much enjoy and am honored to represent my constituents in the 48th Congressional District. My only plans are to continue to do so in 2016, 2018, and beyond. There has been some recent speculation as to appointments if there is a new Republican Administration.  They are simply speculation at this point and not part of my plans.  I can think of nothing more important than serving my constituents and my country in the United States Congress.  It’s an honor and a privilege.

I am disappointed to hear that Scott Baugh has been raising money for a 2018 campaign against me.  Scott Baugh represented to me and many of my supporters/donors that he would never run against me and was only raising money for when I retire. Baugh now seems to be evolving out of that commitment.  I hope that he would return contributions from those who were assured it would never be used in a race against me.

I am proud that I have served our country and my constituents with integrity and will continue to use my experience and my seniority to look out for their interests.

Scott Baugh is a hypocrite. Fred Whitaker is a hypocrite. Many others in OCGOP Leadership are hypocrites.

Whitaker and the OC GOP leadership are attempting to hold up chartering two local volunteer clubs because they don’t like what I am writing on this blog. I am not sure how I, living 440 miles away have gotten so much power that a few small minded people that can’t handle accountability want to hurt other people to vent their frustrations about what I am writing.

Orange County is turning Blue under their watchful eye. I know some that are trying to stop it – but the institutional inertia for the status quo outweighs morality, innovation and any vision for the future.

Scott Baugh is a former Chairman of the OC GOP. He and others on the OC GOP (including current Chairman Fred Whitaker) in their attempts to defend the status quo pointed out that the over $300k raised by Don Wagner, including the 30+K in recent years directly to the OC GOP did not matter. John Moorlach deserved re-election at all costs.

One such cost will be that $30k that Wagner raised is now gone and Moorlach will not raise a dime. He has told leadership as such – even as they were preparing to try and save him from Don Wagner! Apparently, the OC GOP leadership does not need the $30k, a small price to pay to maintain the status quo.

Mimi Walters was defended by Fred Whitaker in a conference call. His primary defense WAS ALL THE MONEY MIMI WALTERS RAISED FOR THE PARTY. Don Wagner raised more. He does not matter, he is not an incumbent.

Real people don’t look at incumbency. Only other incumbents worried about the precedent and what it means to them. We call this self-serving party organizational suicide.

If Mimi Walters deserves re-election because of her fundraising and recruiting of other candidates – then John Moorlach (the double-dipping, pension-spiking “conservative”) deserved to go.

Nope. The OC GOP has no moral high ground to stand on or credibility in my opinion and I write this as some of the same power brokers are rigging the election of the upcoming Orange County GOP Central Committee.

The OC GOP has no moral basis to oppose Greg Raths or attempt to bully him. They need to stand up and be counted as a part of the establishment that has brought us the rage-based coalition of Donald Trump. Trump’s rise is 100% due to the epic moral failure of GOP leadership characterized by situational ethics and prizing the status quo more than anyone or anything else.

This leads us to Dana Rohrabacher. Rohrabacher was FORCED TO DEFEND HIMSELF. Why? The OC GOP actually looks like they did not defend one of their incumbents!!!

So, I can’t even say the OC GOP are denizens of the Status-Quo? It appears that the desire to avoid conflict took them in to a state of paralysis.

Dear Congressman Rohrabacher. I don’t know you. I have met you only once. I will defend you. You deserve better than to be discarded by a new generation of self-serving pseudo-conservative opportunists.

Not everyone in the OCGOP are bad people. There are many good, solid people there. It is time to discard Scott Baugh. It is time to discard Fred Whitaker and let’s get leadership with consistency to principle and a spine.

As a concluding note: To my friends in the newly forming OC GOP volunteer clubs, my apologies if the leadership of the OC GOP uses me as an excuse to protect the status quo. If they deny your charter because of me, that’s on them, not you.

Everything in politics happens for a reason. Such as Scott Baugh’s sudden turn against his long time friend and ally Don Wagner, and his “opening a committee” (wink wink) for the same congressional seat as Dana Rohrbacher and his actions at the central committee and his changes from long term patterns and allegiances… etc etc etc…

I guess Something about supporting incumbents at all costs, regardless of merit unless it is Scott Baugh and what he wants? You know – the age-old nothing else matters except for the next office I am running for illness…

Well – enter Dana Rohrabacher himself: (Quoting Cal Watchdog)

Rohrabacher told the the Orange County Register, which first broke the news of Baugh’s intentions on Friday, “Scott is just laying the foundation for a race for Congress when I am no longer a member … but I don’t know when that’s going to be.”

A confident Rohrabacher added, “(Baugh) does know that if a Republican gets elected (president), I could get a top-level appointment. … He just wants to make sure if that happens, he’s ready to have a running start.”

Good spin from the veteran Congressman. However, it is clear that Scott Baugh did not call him to explain what he was doing or to warn him. This means that Mr. Baugh is indeed a hypocrite and should be viewed with extreme suspicion were he to run for congress. (And, I will be very interested in him when that happens)

This also means that Baugh’s behavior towards Don Wagner is not unique, I’d lay odds there is a political bloody knife collection with Baugh’s name on it large enough to fill the Great Park.

Why did Scott Baugh do it now?

There has been a rumor that there is some sort of scandal related to Rohrabacher. No one seems to want to come forward with anything, so that may be as real as Scott Baugh’s loyalties.

Others think that Baugh is trying to cut in line with all the vultures lining up for Rohrabacher’s seat as the senior Congressman is in his 70’s. It is also clear that Baugh’s sidekick, Mr. Flash has a paycheck riding on this caper as well.

My issue here is Scott Baugh and his pattern. It is 100% clear now that he made several self-serving strategic decisions to set himself up in a run for his next office. This is the exact behavior that is killing the Republican brand and the Republican team.

While Mr. Baugh is poo-pooing Don Wagner’s contributions to the OCGOP, the Labor Unions are in three cities in Orange County Registering voters. What have either Scott Baugh or John Moorlach done about it?

That’s right, nothing. But, remember, the money raised and donated does not matter…

… as the Status Quo is more important than winning, unless MY next office is on the horizon. #facepalm.
